Terms and Conditions


To ensure Alana can offer the best services in her business, this list of terms and conditions was created as guidelines for her clients to understand when booking an appointment.

Booking Processes + Booking fees

  • Client is to be able to pay all costs related to the service at the time of booking.

  • After a client has filled out the contact form and requested their booking, Alana will communicate back and send out a booking confirmation/quote to clarify the individual quote for the services the client is after.

  • Once the service details have been confirmed an invoice will be sent out with 20% of the full price due - this is the booking fee and it is non-refundable.

  • The appointment will not be fully secured until the 20% non-refundable booking fee is paid. The rest of the invoice will be sent out on completion of the service and will be due no later than 1 week post appointment.

  • Booking fees will become part of the final costs all together.

  • The full payment will be required no later than 1 week post service. Reminders will be sent out at that time. Failure to pay the full amount will result in further action.

  • Please do not ask for refunds of booking fees as they will not be given.


  • No reduction to the cost amount on the quote can be made after the initial quote is accepted. Any additional numbers, changes in location or timing on the day will be accommodated where possible to Alana's discretion. 



The prices detailed on this site have been extensively researched including using a spreadsheet.

They are based on:

  • Kit expense estimated to be used per client 

  • Preparation / admin / labour time

  • Alana’s skill level / experience

  • Service length

  • Fixed / variable costs

  • Additional options including; lashes, travel, parking etc.


  • Like most goods and services sold, all my prices will have an additional 15% GST charge added onto all invoices. This total will be clearly highlighted in your personalised booking confirmation form.


Cancellation Policy​​​

  • A cancellation must be advised a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking time. Booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If the cancellation occurs within this time frame you will be required to pay the full price of the booking.

  • ‘No Shows’ including vouchers and prepaid appointments (unless for significant proven reason) will not be refunded and vouchers will become redundant.

  • If for whatever reason Alana has to cancel, clients will receive a full refund of any pre-paid booking fee's and help will be provided in finding a suitable replacement.

  • No appointments under any circumstance can hold a secondary date, as a potential replacement for the original date. Clients rescheduling an appointment must confirm one date only. Alana MUHA has the right keep all available dates and time open to booking purposes, after discussing a backup date for your special occasion. If it was not rescheduled on the spot, it is not secure. 

Cancellation/Reschedule due to C19 / sickness:

  • If you are forced to cancel/postpone due to events such as lockdown or having Covid (proof required), then any pre-paid booking fee's will be either refunded or put towards the new date.

  • If you are postponing from your own choice, regardless of tricky situations with loved ones being stuck in other parts of the world etc. Unfortunately Alana is unable to refund your booking fee for the originally saved date. You will need to pay another booking fee for your new date. While this is a tough thing to ask in this challenging time, you need to understand that this is the way Alana makes her living and if multiple bookings postpone/cancel, this will greatly impact Alana's business. 

Privacy and Confidentiality 

  • As a professional makeup artist often Alana will need to obtain personal client information including name, address, phone number, email address etc. This information is to be used solely by Alana regarding the booking and only this. 

  • In the case that Alana may want to use any images or videos created from the booking she will do so with permission from the client. These could include being used for her website, instagram and/or facebook page.

  • Use of images: Professional photos from the event are always so wonderful to see! It would be awesome to be able to use any of the photos relevant to Alana's work for this website, other social medias, displays, publications, advertising and exhibitions. All required permission and credit due will be presented along side the work.


Rights Reserved

  • Alana MUHA reserves the right to cancel any bookings that breach any of these terms and conditions. Email or text notifications of this cancellation will be sent to the client right away.

  • Alana MUHA reserves the right to refuse service if the client is displaying contagious viral symptoms including but not limited to vomiting, diarrhoea, suspicious rash or cold sores. 

  • Alana MUHA reserves the right to refuse the application of the clients personal makeup or false eyelashes. 

  • Alana MUHA reserves the right to legal action if any acts of extreme indecency were performed towards her including physical abuse, stealing from her kit and services and other indecencies of the like.

  • Should a final payment from a client fail to be made Alana MUHA reserves the right to take further action by the likes of debt collectors. In this scenario the client is required to cover all additional costs involved.



  • Alana MUHA is not, under any circumstances, responsible or liable for any allergic reactions or irritations to products used during the practical service. The onus is on the client to give advance notice if you or any of your group have specific allergies or sensitivities. In no event shall Alana have any liability for incidental or consequential damages. 

  • Alana MUHA will endeavour to comply with all client requirements and to meet all expectations but if in the unlikely event that the client is unhappy with the final makeup application and/or hair styling, Alana cannot be held liable under this contract.

  • If in the unlikely event that Alana cannot attend the scheduled booking due to emergency reasons beyond Alana's control or personal illness, best efforts will be made to provide clients with a suitable alternative artist if required. Any deposits made will receive a full refund. The limit of liability, is a full refund of all monies paid for the services for the affected date only. 

  • Neither party will be liable if in the event of extreme emergencies beyond reasonable control of either party including storms, fires, floods, pandemics, industrial actions, lock-out, power outage, strike, terrorism etc.



By agreeing to the terms and conditions you indemnify Alana MUHA from and against all actions, injuries, reactions, damages, liabilities, losses, claims, demands, judgements, suits, settlements, costs and expenses.
